MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL UPDATE 2020 (CANCELLATION)

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and its impact on public events and gatherings, the club has taken the hard decision to cancel the upcoming membership renewal dates. As soon as the situation improves and services return to normal, fresh renewal dates will be released. We understand how frustrating this situation must be, but we’re grateful for your continued patience and support. If you have any further membership enquiries in the meantime, please use the supplied form on the “Contact Us” page, as I don’t deal with membership enquiries and have no way of forwarding them on. Membership Renewal 2019 Dates.

The following dates and times stated will held in the upstairs bar area of Lynnsport.

Membership prices will remain the same as last season.

Make sure to bring your 2019 rod licence, a passport sized photo and your membership fee. Due to the misuse of the membership card scheme by non-members, if you don't bring a passport sized photo, you will NOT be allowed to join! Memberships MUST be renewed on the above dates.

I've just been given the news that this weeks N.N.A.B. charity match has been moved to next week, which means Wilf's Whizzy Wheels and the Pole Only matches will be a week later than scheduled! From what I gather, for any hardy souls wishing to brave the heat and fish this Wednesday, there will just be a basic match! Thank you for your understanding on this matter! Tight lines!

Membership Renewal Dates 2018

Hi folks,

It's that time of the year again, and here's all the information you'll need to renew, or start your membership!

Membership renewal dates are as follows...

Wed 18th April 5pm - 7pm
Wed 25th April 5pm - 7pm
Sun 29th April 4pm - 6pm

These will be held in the upstairs bar area of Lynnsport.

You will require a valid rod license, a current passport sized photograph. Please note that Disabled/OAP/Junior memberships will only be given to those holding the relevant licenses. If you arrive without any of the required elements stated above, we won't be able to renew your membership at that time!

Disabled/OAP/Junior Memberships are £13

Able-Bodied Memberships are £26

If you're not rejoining the club, please return all the relevant keys so that new members can use them! if you are joining the club for the first time, be sure to bring £3 to cover the cost of the key.

Hi Everyone,

Just some news to make you aware of! Firstly, this Saturday 22nd the lake will be closed between 7am and 12pm for an organised clean-up day! Any members wanting to volunteer will be gladly welcomed! Secondly, make a note in your calendars, an extra charity match has been added for Wednesday 16th August, in aid of the blind and those who have problems with their sight! As I always say, keep checking back for updates! One last thing before I go, apologies for no AGM, health issues have played a major part in this, obviously if things change, you'll be the first to know!

AGM Announcement 2016
Well it's that time of the year again folks! Here are the details for this years Annual General Meeting. The meeting will be held in the Wembley Room located upstairs in Lynnsport, and will start at 6:00pm on Sunday 21st February. A raffle will be held on the evening, and any prize donations are gratefully received, all proceeds will go towards the running of the club. We look forward to seeing you there.

It’s been a while I know. My apologies for no updates being posted, but sadly with ongoing serious family health issues there has been little or no time to post.

Anyway, here are the results from The Webmaster Challenge match which took place on 16/09/15.

1st Mr. Hornigold 360 points

2nd Mr. Pook 192 points

3rd Mr. Smith 68 points

Rather than weight, this match was calculated by a points system to give everyone an equal chance of winning. Catching a carp would get you 10 points, tench 8, bream 6, rudd, roach and perch 4, and a wildcard fish like barbel, chub, eels, zander or pike 12. A big thank you to all who attended the match.

Sorry there hasn't been a match report for last Wednesday's match. I'd like to thank everyone who helped me while I stood in for Craig, it was very much appreciated. Last week's results are as follows;

Hi there folks,
Well it doesn't seem very long ago that we were last at out our A.G.M., but here we are again! For those of you new to the club, this is our annual open to all general meeting, where members get a chance to discuss issues related to W.N.D.A.C. All members are invited to attend on Sunday 22nd February at 6pm promptly, and will be held in The Wembley Room located upstairs in Lynnsport. On the evening, raffle tickets will be available to purchase for the raffle draw that will be held at the mid-session interval, with all proceeds going towards the running of the club. If you have any prizes you'd like to donate towards the raffle, all will be gratefully received (sadly we cannot accept wives, children, or annoying pets). See you then.

Craig has asked me to thank all the people who turned up for the clean up day, that was initially cancelled but then went ahead after all. He was not feeling to clever and had only gone to trim the hedge, but to have five people turn up and get stuck in was wonderful, and a lot was achieved. So many thanks again to all who helped.

Cormorant Watch

After reports of cormorants being seen at the club lake, could we please ask club members who spot a cormorant at the lake to report your sighting as quickly as possible. Please call Craig on his usual number, or report it through the website via the "Contact Us" tab. Can I stress how important it is to report any sighting, because at the end of the day, it effects everyone when they've eaten all our stocks.

I have been asked to post the following statement by our Club Chairman.
Saturday was an organized clean up day at the lake. As usual, the attendees were the Chairman, his helper, and Mr. Knight and his son. I, the Chairman, am totally disgusted with the members of this club who were in a position to come and help but didn't. They are more than happy just to sit on the bank and catch the fish that have been recently stocked. A motion of intent will be proposed at our next A.G.M. to change membership, to include a commitment of at least one attendance on our clean up days for able-bodied and OAP categories of membership. Sadly, people are quick to moan about the state of the lake, weed, carp etc. Instead, show your support by actually lending a hand!

Hello again, just a quick reminder that this week's match is a maggots only. So put away that groundbait, sweetcorn, and those pellets and worms, if it's not maggots, you can't use it! The most important thing is that you enjoy yourself though. See you there.
